DFO Clam Sectoral Meeting
October 15, 2025 9:00 am - 10:00 am
From DFO: Dear First Nations Chief, Councillor(s) and/or Fisheries Program Representatives:
The annual Intertidal Clam Sectoral Meeting is scheduled for October 15, 2025. The sectoral
committee meeting provides a forum for the exchange of information; advice on the
development of the next version of the Intertidal Clam Integrated Fisheries Management Plan
(IFMP); and exchange of views on issues important to the management of the fishery. The
sectoral committee is intended to allow DFO to receive a broad range of advice from First
Nations and stakeholders interested in the fishery.
The sectoral committee meeting will be a hybrid meeting held in person at the Beban Park
Complex in Room 3 in Nanaimo and virtually on MS Teams. You are welcome to participate in
the meeting and provide comments to the Department regarding the next version of the IFMP.
If you would like to attend the meeting, please contact me for the MS Teams link, a copy of the
draft agenda, or to aquire any additional details.Brittany Myhal
