OBJECTIVES:


1.       Create a space for East Coast Vancouver Island Nations to share their relationship to herring and perspectives they have on herring management in the short and long term, in a technical, problem-solving environment

2.       Help East Coast Vancouver Island Nations develop a greater understanding of DFO’s Management Strategy Evaluation Framework and how that applied to Herring Management

3.       Build understanding for ECVI Nations relating to the tools of Objective Setting, including how WCVI Nations have leveraged formal Objectives in DFO Herring Management

4.       Provide an update to the ongoing research on Drivers to Herring Spawn Distribution
