  • Organize First Nations Tier One meetings and to assisting First Nations to link with DFO Tier Two meetings;
  • Work under the guidance of a Board of Directors with the support of a Coordinator and Biologist; to identify issues and forward recommendations to DFO;
  • Assist First Nations organizations by providing communication links between First Nations, and with DFO, which makes it easier to develop working relations and common positions with the First Nations of the Fraser Watershed, other Marine First Nations, and with DFO.
  • Be a source of local traditional knowledge and advice on priority food;
  • Communicate outcomes of Tier process back to representing Nations; and
  • Operate as a non-profit incorporated organization under a transparent Terms of Reference and Constitution and Bylaws.
